Thomas Faucet, local rumored to have shot and killed General Braddock, is buried within the boundaries of Ohiopyle State Park. Speculation whether it truly was he who fired the fatal shot or not still continues on to this day. The Friends of Ohiopyle, in coordination with a matching grant from the National Road Heritage Corridor, and assistance from the Connellsville Area Historical Society, is working to place a wayside in acknowledgement to the grave.
